Introducing an Art Bursary and Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities at Shaping Hearts
The eagerly awaited launch of Shaping Hearts 2023 showcased remarkable talent, resilience, and inclusivity at its fifth edition. From art exhibitions to live performances, the festival celebrated the extraordinary works of artists with disabilities, inviting everyone to join a journey of creativity and compassion. This year introduces the North East HeARTS Award, supported by a $300,000 fund, aiming to nurture and empower over 60 individuals with disabilities through art.

From insightful forums on green living to shopping for fresh produce and hands-on upcycling workshops, attendees of the Tampines Green & Wellness Festival were treated to a diverse range of learning experiences.

 


Caring for Seniors with Boustead Projects

The 'Boustead Cares' Community Partnership Programme brought smiles and wellness to 750 seniors in the North East. Thanks to their generous sponsorship of $100,000, exercise equipments are now available in 15 Active Ageing Centres and Homes, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle for seniors.

HighlightBuilding A Caring and Inclusive District

North East CDC’s 9th Council Appointment and District Meeting in September announced a $9 million fund to help residents facing the challenges of the rising cost of living. Alongside appointing our new term of District Councillors, initiatives were introduced to support the community. Special thanks to Koh Kock Leong Enterprise Pte Ltd, SingHealth Polyclinics, TOP International, Thakral Corporation, and Zhi Zhen Tan Dao Xue Hui (Singapore) for signing an MOU valued at $5 million. This partnership will bolster NE CDC programmes and assistance schemes to benefit residents in this new term!
