Tackling Community Communications Hurdles

Kudos to the winning teams of the inaugural North East Communications Hackathon! 17 teams participated, presenting unique proposals to address communication challenges within the community. The top five teams showcased their proposals during the finale on January 20th.

HighlightOpening of the first ever Shaping Hearts Corporate Gallery with Applied Materials

Shaping Hearts unveiled its first ever corporate gallery in partnership with Applied Materials! The gallery features 16 different artworks from five talented artists with disabilities, all purchased by Applied materials and their generous team. All proceeds goes directly to support these artists on their artistic journey. Echoing what Mayor Desmond Choo shared at the opening; this reflects how "those with more can contribute to help those with less and this is an example of Singapore's social compact!"


Early Detection Saves Lives

While initially found with cancer stage 0, further investigations have confirmed her as cancer stage 1. Hear from Mdm Sally Lim on her journey and experience after screening help detect early stage breast cancer. With the support of the North East Cancer Warrior Support Scheme, Mdm Lim can focus on her recovery. If you or you know someone who is aged 50 and above with blue CHAS, encourage them to head down to their nearest SingHealth Polyclinics to do their screenings today.
