The long-awaited Ramadan bazaars have arrived in the North East! We recently visited one of the bazaars to break our fast. From iconic Ramly burgers to freshly made lekor, swing by and explore a wide variety of food stalls and apparel this Ramadan.

The People’s Association has also organised a host of community events to bring people together. Join us in celebrating the arrival of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, also known as Hari Raya Puasa, on 10 April 2024.

Inclusive Art Beyond Our Borders With #ShapingHearts

Art brings people from across the world together, regardless of abilities! Our local #ShapingHearts programme has proven this possible with a recent partnership with #ArtPara for an art exhibition at the Gangneung Arts Center in Korea. Nine artworks by our very own NE CDC Heartist were featured alongside paintings created by 53 artists with disabilities across 13 different countries from five continents.

Supporting North Easties Because WeCare - Sophian Bin Jamil's Journey

Meet Sophian Bin Jamil, who turned to the WeCare @ North East Fund for help when times got tough during the pandemic. Through WeCare, he received cash support for his daily needs and vouchers for essentials like milk and diapers for his little ones.

In his own words, 'Those four months with the fund were a turning point for us.'
