Supporting PWIDs with
Community Employment Opportunities!

After months of hard work with Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS), the Community Employment Programme – Inclusive Employment (CEP-IE) was officially launched by Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development, and Second Minister for Health & Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs. The programme brings job opportunities for persons with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs) into the North East district. In this new collaboration, 10 PWIDs took on roles in gardening and cleaning at Tampines Changkat community gardens and Tampines West Community Club.

Organised by North East CDC in collaboration with the National Library Board, Digi-Lit at North East aims to strengthen the digital literacy capabilities of children between the ages of 4 to 9 years old.

On 28 May, our young ones took part in a range of exciting activities—from a library tour to interactive workshops and a library-themed scavenger hunt! Through lively, facilitated group discussions, older participants also picked up handy tips on recognising online scams and fake news.
